Download:  Application for the Curatorial Project

Katha Centre for Film Studies (KCFS) and India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) in association with the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum  invites young cinephiles, film scholars, artists and students for a three-day Workshop on Film Curatorial Practices from 12 - 14 August, 2010.

The workshop series will cover critical understandings on the history of film criticism and curation, curatorial research methods, curatorial writing, the practical aspects of film curation, context specific curation, and different ways of engaging with audiences. KCFS will thus equip the participants with research, analytical and methodological tools and provide them with the infrastructural support needed for them to become curatorial practitioners.

The aim is to empower and validate their views through Curatorial Practice, and equip them with specialized knowledge to be shared with larger audiences. At the end of the workshop, selected participants will also be given the opportunity to curate a five day-long film festival.
