A.R.T. is seeking donations of funds or of catalogs, journals, magazines, books related to the history and the practice of the visual and the built arts of India and elsewhere for its library.

 Every year our library supports a hundred people who need to do arts research. 

 Who are they? 

 Students, scholars, designers, artists, craftspeople, activists, art professionals, the general public.

 
A.R.T.’s Library has supported activities and collaborated with:

·        Max Mueller Bhavan/Goethe Institut, Bangalore

·         Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Dharwad Circle

·         Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA)

A.R.T. has supported students, artists and scholars:

 ·         Curt Gambetta, Rice University, USA.

·         Katherine Kasdorf, Columbia University, New York.

·         Lauren Portada, independent artist.

 A.R.T. is a unique archive in INDIA

  

·         A.R.T.’s library has books, journals, magazines, catalogs, film and documentary DVDs and a collection of popular art.

 

·         The library has books and articles in Hindi and Kannada.

 

·         The library has access to digital resources; JSTOR and Questia.

 

·         A.R.T.’s website provides an online library catalog, sample art contracts, transcription of some of the talks from our events, information about events held by other organizations, courses in the arts offered by universities, scholarships, grants, artist residencies, fellowships, job opportunities and A.R.T.’s projects and programs.

Who funds A.R.T.?

 
A.R.T. provides a wide array of resources and services and makes them available free of charge to all. A.R.T.’s events, projects and activities are not funded by any public institution. We generate funds through our projects, workshops and at times through donations from private individuals. Most of our funds are donated by Jackfruit Research and Design Pvt. Ltd

Your donation to A.R.T. will help us in the process of build a strong arts community. We can keep our shelves filled with books and materials that are in high demand and offer better facilities to users.

 

What you receive

·         Donations of 100 INR to 500 INR get an A.R.T. bag.

·         Donations of 500 INR to 1000 INR get an A.R.T. bag and a one month membership to our library.

·         Donations of books, catalogs, journals and magazines to the library you get an A.R.T. bag.

A.R.T.’s donation policy

·       We accept funds donated by wire transfer, cheques, cash or demand drafts. If you would prefer to use a wire transfer for donations, please contact us.

·       Books, catalogs, journals and magazines can be sent by courier to this address. We do not have pick up facilities. Although, we will consider it if it is a large consignment.
